We're a small family

made up of like minded folks with a common goal. And when one of us hurts, we all hurt. Saving lives comes at a price, a price that often times is heartbreaking. Even when we do everything we can, sometimes something happens that has no explanation or reason. It just happens. And nothing we do can change it. Nothing before or after makes a difference, and it's the sad reality that we can't save them all. But we keep trying, even with broken hearts. It's what makes us different and makes us move forward each and every day. Sending hugs and much love to a dear friend who has taught me so much and has been my hero for many years.
